Popular, much talked about, written in many media, is not going to guarantee a successful product. Google Nexus One already proven this. At launch, the popularity of this phone match your iPhone. But it is weak in the market. This bitter lesson for Google.

Let’s go back to the past. Rumours about the launch of Google‘s mobile phone has been booming on the internet for a few years. Android-based phone aka the T-Mobile G1, has been heating the mobile phone business. But, really awaited by fans of Android is a phone made by Google, Nexus One. The cell phone competes with other Android phone made by HTC, Motorola, Samsung and Sony.

Android phone market really heats up. Mid-December 2009, Motorola has released version 2.0 of the Android based phones. This device is bundled with Verizon’s service providers. The result, surprising: Droid Motorola has sold one million units within a short time, much faster than iPhone sales.

Google also had a dream with Android phones. They provide a new feature that is touch screen. They sure would succeed. Nexus One was born. The difference is, these phones are sold solely by Google, not via the network operator or a conventional mobile phone dealers. Google‘s phone is going to feel great because Google controls every millimeter of hardware and software design.

Nexus One was officially launched January 5, 2010. The cell phone is made by special order to HTC, Google‘s best friend in Taiwan who also produce an Android phone. Software? The most sophisticated, namely Android 2.1, although for a novice user not too different from previous versions. There is only a change in mobile phone display.

Mobile marketing is really against the conventional rule. Sold under-bound type with operator T-Mobile (locked) or type Unlocked which can be used with any operator. But, the phone was sold solely by Google.

Major problems began to emerge. Which was launched by T-Mobile encountering many obstacles. Although T-Mobile are intimates of Google, T-Mobile is the smallest of the four operators of existing operators in the United States. As a result, sales have failed. This problem also faced by phone “Palm-Pre” factory-made “Palm”. No matter how good your cell phone, very few people in America who want to switch numbers.

Consumers also face problems when they wish to purchase directly from Google. Google is not accustomed to selling mobile phones. They only want to serve through electronic orders need several days to get a response. In fact, consumers want to speak directly with a mobile merchant original human.

Nexus One then also be sold through AT&T for an unlocked version. But this version was expensive U.S. $ 530. Unlocked phone is very unusual in the United States, and customers tend to choose the phone that is locked but the price is cheap because it subsidized, like the iPhone. Sales of Nexus One really bad, as reported by Fast Company, in the first week they only sold 20 thousand units in the first quarter of 2010 and their market share is only 2 percent of the total Android phone in the U.S..

At the same time other Android phones capable of great success. HTC Droid Incredible, which is actually similar to the Nexus One but with additional features HTC Sensen graphical display plus a better camera even more successful. Sprint Operator, also partnered with HTC to HTC Evo 4G phones. This mobile 4G (fourth generation), the first in the United States. With many rivals like that, who wants to buy the Nexus One?

Sony Ericsson Satio great smartphone with a touchscreen is 3.5 inches and form a solid, chunky feel considering its screen size. 12 megapixel camera lens and a solid layer, a feature that is very impressive for this handset. Sensor CCD camera (charge-coupled-device) is paired with a flash of Xenon, making it the perfect choice for shooting dim light conditions.

Symbian S60 5th Edition OS, usually used on nokia phones, so Sony Ericsson Satio is also using it. However users of this device should be slightly adapted to the OS. another thing is that you need to double click to open each application, such as sending a message or a web browser. This feels different than the Android or iPhone device.

There are good features in satio including GPS and WiFi as fast as the HSDPA connection to go online without wires. However there are obvious shortcomings in this handset. Lack of 3.5 mm audio jack is that you need to use a cable from Sony Ericsson’s products, and the general framework of quality on the handset is not as good as other devices.

Battery power can also become a problem, especially when you use the camera continuously. At first glance, Sony Ericsson Satio may be seen as a great phone, with a 12 MP camera that can produce stunning images. But with all due respect as the devices used in everyday life is not too impressive, although the screen and OS appear to produce good performance.

Features

Large 3.5-inch crystal clear (16:9) widescreen display with 640 x 360 pixels resolution

12.1 megapixel camera with intuitive touch focus, Image Stabilizer, Xenon flash, face detection, smile detection and Geo tagging capabilities

A-GPS, Wi-Fi, HSDPA

128 MB Internal Memory, 8GB Micro SD Memory Card Included (Yes! at last they have understood that their Memory Stick doesn’t work good on their impression.)

Intuitive full touch media menu enables users tap directly into their favourites, from web pages to pictures and media files

Web albums with messages – talk through pictures and share your experiences

Symbian Foundation OS – thousands of applications available online

Music player to play your tunes loud and proud

TV Out, USB and Bluetooth Connectivity

Dimension : 112 X 55 X 13.3 mm

Weight : 126 grams

Colors : Black, Silver and Bordeaux Colors

In a press conference at Apple headquarters some time ago, Steve Jobs admitted that iPhone4 have drawbacks. As an apology for the problem and the antenna signal which users complained, the CEO of Apple is offering a free rubber casing.

Jobs claims that the rubber casing that can be obtained from 30 September 2010 can protect the antenna performance, so it is not troubled by the touch of a user’s hand.

In the press conference, Jobs acknowledged that iPhone4‘s not perfect. But like the slap, it also involves brand rivals by declaring that all smartphones have drawbacks. According to a weak signal reception problems occur throughout the fair smartphone industry. Among others, called Research In Motion (RIM) Blackberry manufacturer, Samsung Electronics, and HTC Corp also have experienced something similar.

Of course this style of defense jobs to make its rivals furious. RIM, Samsung Electronics, and HTC Corp. has responded that Jobs’ statement. They claim that Apple’s lack of time to test its product. In fact, Samsung said that they had never experienced the same thing with Apple iPhone4.

Issues that beat iPhone4 make several mobile operators in several countries who distribute Apple’s smartphone is delaying the sale until the next 1-2 months.

Apart from the criticisms of the quality, iPhone4 contributed a substantial increase Apple’s profits. Together with the iPad, iPhone4 able to contribute to Apple’s net income increased by 61% (U.S. $ 15.7 billion) from a year ago in the same period amounted to U.S. $ 9.73 billion.

Have you read my prev article about iPhone 4? Its amazing gadget, but have you know this technology & economic issue? Continue reading…

The emergence of bad reports on the iPhone 4, has made the value of Apple shares fell 4.2%, and eliminate the £ 6.5 billion market value, although it rose again when the U.S. stock market higher. This report comes as Apple receives a high demand from new products in which 1.7 million phones were sold in the first three days after launch.

One institution that did the test it was Consumer Reports, consumer interest watchdog organization in the U.S.. Consumer Reports, has been testing the iPhone 4 and mentioned that this phone would lose signal when used in certain ways. When a finger or hand touching the spot on the left side of the phone, the signal is significantly decreased. This causes the iPhone 4 four lost connections, and even completely disappear if located in areas with weak signals.

They also tested several mobile AT & T in the same way, including the iPhone 4 and Palm Pre 3GS. None of the phone has a signal problem as iPhone4. They concluded that the problem of the antenna on the smartphone can not be tolerated, and they do not recommend that consumers buy the iPhone 4.

Apple has explained that the problem happened in the iPhone 4 antenna is not too distracting. However, some testing to find if the problem on the iPhone 4 very annoying and not as expected.

iPhone 4, released on Monday 7 June 2010, is the largest revision in the history of the iPhone since penetrated the market in 2007. Previous versions also have unique characteristics when launched. Maybe we’ve been tempted by the technology revolution of the “iPhone 3G”, and the speed of “3GS”. So what makes the “iPhone 4″ this time is considered so unique and new.

Some points that I can notice are:

Radical change

This fourth generation of the new iPhone 4 is a significant evolution from Apple gadget when compared with the previous version. Form of a flat back, protected by glass and the edges are made of stainless steel, at first glance look more like a “Braun shaving” than a cell phone. All gadget devices that use the new iPhone this time also, hold and feel it will make you say that the iPhone 4 is different from the previous habitat.

Look and feel

Although this is a new cell phone, and have different outward appearances, there are some things that do not change. When you first hold iPhone 4, you still get the sense that it is a device, very solid. According to Apple’s specifications, the iPhone 4 is 0.1 ounces heavier than its predecessor, 3GS.

Both the back and front of the phone is now made of glass, coated with a layer of oleo-phobic as used on the 3GS. Display unit that is used is a bit too flashy. One side effect of making both color and textured glass back of the phone is that the difference between white and black model of the iPhone 4 is now completely visible. In iPhone 3G and 3GS white and black color model looks almost the same when viewed from the front. For this time feels different if you use a white iPhone, you’ll really obvious and clear impression of an elegant white color. Still like iPhone 3, this gadget had optional connection to internet with WiFi.

Display
Apple calls on iPhone 4 screen with “Retina screen” a little weird and scary for this beautiful artistic gadget.

Video Cameras and Photo

We must spend time playing with two cameras on the iPhone 4. Rear Camera, has a 5MP resolution, or 2MP bigger than the old version of 3GS. But apparently megapixel is not everything, even the camera “iPhone 3GS” can create better results than other smartphone cameras have more megapixels.

Something that could be considered new on iPhone 4 is the rear camera flash LED. When you turn the flash and press the shutter button, the LED flashes once to allow cameras in order to measure the light, and then a second time to take pictures. Front camera in the “iPhone 4″ is not a 5 megapixel camera but the 640×480-pixel (about 0.3 megapixels, if you’re curious) which is designed at its main feature, ‘FaceTime’.

Software
With high-resolution screen, using the iPhone 4 can more clearly see the graph. Like the writing that looks looks amazing, when trying to open a PDF file, seems that there are some interesting differences when the zoom-in to PDF documents.

OK, you now have a choice. but do not forget to read the next article about the iPhone 4 & expert recomendation .

Bored with the slow Hotspot Access? It’s not an age when hotspot access had slow connections like a snail. Perhaps that’s one of “marketing language” if you want to selling hotspot connections. If that’s your problem there are many ways that we can do to trace the problem. The first way is to check how much bandwidth is allocated for hotspot connections. If the problem is bandwidth allocated was small, it’s done, because the answer is to increase bandwidth capacity through the hotspot devices. But if the internet connection is fast but has plugged to an ancient hotspot device, this may be beneficial. This article will try to review the wireless technology that is used to improve hotspot speed. Its can improve download speed, upload speed, and transfer files between PCs. With Wi-Fi networks sometimes transfer data between a PC / laptop with another PC was much slower compared with the data transfer cable media. Why? Currently Network LAN (Local Area Network) which uses media cable has the lowest speed of 10 Mbps, commonly used has speed of 100 Mbps, the latest technology with Gigabit Ethernet capable of 1Gbps data transfer.

Wireless technologies use the IEEE 802.11 standard. The Standard has been developed and improved version of the first generation to the last generation.

1. 802.11

Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) made the first WLAN standards. They called it 802.11 after the name of the group that was formed to oversee its development. Unfortunately, 802.11 only supported a maximum network bandwidth of 2 Mbps, is too slow for most applications. For these reasons, 802.11 wireless products are no longer produced.

2. 802.11b

IEEE developing “802.11 standard” started at July 1999. They create the IEEE 802.11b specifications. 802.11b supports bandwidth up to 11 Mbps, compared to traditional Ethernet.

3. 802.11a

Along with the development of 802.11b, the IEEE made a second extension to 802.11 standard called 802.11a. Because 802.11b gained in popularity much faster than 802.11a, some people believe that 802.11a was created after 802.11b. 802.11a supports bandwidth up to 54 Mbps and signals in the frequency spectrum is set approximately 5 GHz. This higher frequency compared to 802.11b. Higher frequency also means that 802.11a signals have more difficulty penetrating walls and other obstructions. Because 802.11a and 802.11b use different frequencies, the two technologies are not compatible each other.

4. 802.11g

In 2002 and 2003, WLAN products that can support a newer standard called 802.11g appeared on the market. 802.11g is an attempt to combine the best of both 802.11a and 802.11b standards. 802.11g supports bandwidth to 54 Mbps, and uses a frequency of 2.4 GHz for greater range. 802.11g is compatible with 802.11b, meaning that 802.11g access points will work with wireless 802.11b network adapters and vice versa.

5. 802.11n

The third-generation Wi-Fi is the standard for wireless home networks. 802.11n equipment is compatible with 802.11g and 802.11b equipment, and support for faster wireless connections with greater distance. Transfer Rate up to more than 100 Mbps. Using MIMO technologies (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output). Currently on the market have a lot of tech products with 802.11n standard, or often referred to as “Wireless-N”. Thus, the ability to transfer data is more quickly. One way to increase hotspot speed access is using the AP-tech “Wireless-N”, but the wireless client (laptop) also have been supporting the “Wireless-N”. If it does not yet support, will be the same. Second note: whether the Internet connection is above 100 Mbps? By using the “Wireless-N” can increase download speed and upload speed.
